Coming soon, to a nappy near you!

Hi everybody,

I just wanted to let you all know that we will be joined in our little house by a little boy. He will be arriving any day now. I've renovated the study into a nursery, and am restoring a cot that a friend gave us, so I hope I will be finished when he arrived, if he arrives early. It's all very exciting. Do you have any suggestions for names?

I've attached a few photos to show you what's been going with us lately.

Oh, I sold the motorbike too. I wasn't sad to see it go! :)

Take care of yourselves, and we hope to hear from you all soon,

Ben And Bree

Long time no see!

Hello everybody,

I hope that this update finds you all well. Firstly, I'd like to apologise for the lateness of this update. There really is no excuse, except that we have had a very busy time since I last updated.

Bree and I both have new jobs now and are very happy where we are. For the first time in 7 years we are not working together. I'm the Director of Studies at CQUniversity on the Gold Coast, and Bree is teaching at Shafston on the Gold Coast. So, if anybody out there wants to study English on the Gold Coast or go to University, just contact us!

Things are going well. For those of you who met our Korean cat Tigger, he's still doing well. He's nice and fat and lazy, like a cat should be! haha Lucy is very big now and still loves to run around and play like a puppy which is nice.

In the meantime, my Korean students will be happy to know that I've joined the local HapKiDo club here on the Gold Coast and have been training for two and half years now. I've earned my black belt, and going for my 2nd soon, and have started to teach some classes!

Most recently, I bought a motorcycle, and rode it from Sydney to the Gold Coast. It was very fun, but very tiring. I rode 850 kilometres in 2 days. Whew!

Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you!

Take care,

Ben

A new member of our family!

Hi everyone,

We thought we would let you know that our family has expanded. She is an 8 week old Boxer named Lucy. She is tiny at the moment, but we have had her for two weeks, and already she has grown 1.5 kgs!

Ben has actually lost 5kgs, probably from chasing the puppy around!

Cya soon,

Ben

Ben & Bree have bought a house!

Hi there everybody,

Long time no write. Sorry it has been so long. It has been sooo crazy the last few months. In an obvious update, we have left Korea. We are now living on the Gold Coast, in Queensland, Australia.

We now work for a school called Browns'. It is a family owned school which is really friendly and the teachers get to know the students really well.

Anyway, the big news is... we have bought our first house! It is small, but hey, we are teachers! haha

Here is a pic of the front of the house. I don't want to show you photos of the inside - we are going to change everything!

Please write to us and let us know your news!!??

Happy ChuSok!

Hello everybody!

Firstly, let me apologise for taking so long to write to you all. We have been very busy here in Korea, and have been working very hard! If you can call teaching hard work! hahahaha

Anyway, Chusok came around a few weeks ago, and we thought we would write to you about what we got up to. We decided that we would go to Lotteworld! We have been to Seoul Land, and Everland, so we thought that we had to check it out.

We went with another teacher from Pagoda and her boyfriend. We had a great day. The sun was out, and the weather was great. We even rode the ride that the person was killed on a few months ago! Although nobody told us that this was the ride until a few days later. I do have to admit though, it was my favourite ride!

Luckily, we got there really early in the morning. We were some of the first few the gate. I really recommend that you do that if you devide to go there. We were able to walk straight onto the rides. It was great.

Anyway, we hope that you had a great Chusok too, and we would love to hear from you.

Ben and Bree have landed!

Hello again everybody,

We have finally arrived in Korea. We are working for Pagoda, at Jongro-Samga, and it seems like a good school. The teachers are nice, and the students are very polite and eager to learn. We are living in It Tae Won (America Town!) just behind the Aussie Shop, if you know where that is!

Unfortunately our cat had to stay in Australia. We tried to bring him, but there was a delay with our flight, so the Korean quarantine service refused to let us bring him because the blood test was done 15 days before arriving and not 14! But don't worry, he is living with my Dad, and they get along fine. Although the cat keeps waking him up at dawn every morning! hahaha

Anyway, we would love to hear from you if you are in Korea, and we would love to help you with information about different study options.

SeeYa,

Ben and Bree's Wedding!

Hello everyone, sorry it has taken so long for us to write to you. We have had a crazy couple of months.
Firstly, we got married. Some of you probably already know this. It was a beautiful day, as you can see from the photos. We were really lucky to have such beautiful weather on the beach. It really came together well for us.
A special thanks to all of you who helped us, especially Lotti, Kazumi, and Wendy. You made things go a lot easier for us that it would have. We tried to do something really difficult - move house and get married on the same weekend, and your help made everything so much easier!
It was only a small wedding, about 30 people, but thats exactly what we wanted. We wanted something small and family-oriented. It was a relaxed day at the beach: not a typical stressful wedding.
Anyway, Bree looked beautiful, I looked okay, and everyone else didn't matter! hahahahaha
Please drop us a line if you want more pictures. We have hundreds!

Ben and Bree are moving to Korea!!!

Yes folks, it is true!

Ben and Bree are moving back to Korea. We are planning on living in Seoul, or possibly Busan. We have heard that the money is better in Seoul, but Busan is more beautiful, so we don't know what to do!

We will be moving over in March or May, we haven't decided yet, because we want to go to the music festival in Byron Bay in April. The website is www.bluesfest.com.au

We would love to hear from you when we move to Korea, so please email us at: ben_and_bree@hotmail.com

Hope to see you in Seoul!

P.S. The other man in the photo is my father. Do you think we look similar???

Merry Christmas Everbody!

Seasons Greetings Everybody!

I know it is now late in January, but I wanted to tell you about our holiday.

Bree and I took two weeks holiday and went camping up the coast of New South Wales. It was so beautiful I will never forget it.

The first place we stayed was Old Bar, near Taree. Our camping ground was about 150 metres off the beach! It was so nice.

Unfortunately the tent we took with us was just too small so we had to go and buy another one. You can see the photos of our second home below.

Hope you all had a great time, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Wattamolla Beach Trip!

Greetings everybody!

Before Christmas we all had a great day down at Wattamolla. Bree, and Gemma and I organized a 'Survivor' style day of action and games. This photo is the winning team! They had to find the buried pirate treasure. You can see they enjoyed it!

Oh, and before I forget, the school has had a change of name. We are not AG Mate anymore. We are now Ability Education.

Anyway, talk to you soon...

Dinner Party!

Hi everybody,

Last night, Ben and Bree were invited by Jin Sun to a dinner party with Ben's Beginner Class, at a Korean Restaurant on Goulburn St. The restaurant name was Seoul-Ria. The food was delicious, there was lots of Soju and beer, and everybody had a great time.

Ben was particularly proud of his Beginner's Class speaking skills, as there was lots of conversation all night! Great work guys!

Ben and Bree look forward to having many more dinner parties, and would like to thank Jin Sun for his generous invitation.

See ya later,

Great Fun On The Ag Mate Harbour Cruise!

On the 28th of September, Ag Mate took all the students on another harbour cruise. Here are some photos of all the students having a great time.

There was lots of food, drink, sight-seeing, and of course, English speaking!

The dance floor on the boat was electric, with teachers and students both dancing up a storm.
